6 of Our Favorite Cleanroom Products

When you’re working in a controlled environment, it’s important to only bring cleanroom-specific products into the area. This includes everything from cleaning supplies to production materials to management tools — even pens and clipboards need to meet cleanroom standards.

Here are some of our favorite cleanroom products to help ensure your controlled environment stays that way — controlled!

  1. TruCLEAN Sponge Mop
This 16-inch by 5-inch high-absorbency mop generates very little particulate, making it the perfect option for controlled environments. The mop head swivels to maintain full contact with the surface you’re cleaning, and the specially formulated polyurethane foam captures and retains particles with ease. The mop resists microbials and chemicals, and the thick foam conforms to and protects uneven and delicate surfaces. The whole contraption is compatible with gamma, ETO, and autoclave sterilization (up to 250°F for 30 minutes). It’s hard to rip and tear, but easy to clean and dry. The sponge itself is recommended for single-use and is easy to change out.

  1. TruCLEAN Mop Cover

If you’d prefer to stretch the life of your TruCLEAN Sponge Mop a little farther, slip this cover over the mop head to reap the same benefits of the mop more affordably.

3. SlimT™ Double Bucket Cart

This product is ideal for any cleanroom. Its swivel wheels allow it to easily maneuver two six-gallon buckets in any and all directions. Each of the buckets is 19 inches wide, so the TruCLEAN Sponge Mop, or just about any other mop head, can easily fit inside. The whole system is autoclavable, meaning it can be sterilized, which is why this bucket cart is perfect for a cleanroom environment.

4. Micronova Universal Handles and Adapters

Switch out your mop handles for these autoclavable adapters. Their stainless steel and Delrin properties make them strong and hardwearing, and they come in extendable or fixed-length versions.

5. Valutek Wipers

These wipers can be used to remove contaminants on all surfaces in a cleanroom environment. This includes everything from work surfaces, walls, and windows to gloves, buckets, and product packaging.

6. Niflisk Cleanroom Portable Vacuum

You might be surprised to learn that vacuum cleaning is actually generally accepted in cleanrooms down to class ISO 5. Obviously, you can’t just pull your Hoover into the cleanroom, but this sterilized model is specially designed to prevent the motor from generating carbon particulate. With a 2.25-gallon paper dust bag for easy disposal and an autoclave container and trolley, cleaning the vacuum couldn’t be easier.

These are just a few of our favorite products for Cleanroom Cleaning, but the list could go on forever. From detergents and chemicals to tacky mats, gloves, and gowns, we’ve been in the business long enough to know which products are worth the cost and that knowledge is key. When you take a shot in the dark with your cleanroom products, you risk contamination, which risks the reputation of your business and the health and safety of your end-users. Don’t take any chances. Partner with a company that knows from experience what works and what doesn’t to ensure your cleanroom is as contaminant-free as required.
